Adam's Journey
There's no point ruminating on "what if's", on what my life would have been like if I didn't have Parkinson's. It is what it is, and I'm focused on making the most of every day.
I always considered myself a hard-working person. I spent my life working hard, providing for my family, traveling for business. I've always imagined what it would be like not to work as hard, to have more time for my family. With Parkinson's I am forced to take it easy and work less, so I now find myself spending much more time with my children.
One of the hardest things about Parkinson’s is how tired you feel at the end of the day, when the medications begin to wear off.
I wish there was a solution for this that would keep my symptoms balanced and provide stability and predictability.
I don't really care if the level ends up being 60%, 70% or 80% of what I used to be – I just want to know that I'll be able to push through the entire day maintaining the same level of energy and with my symptoms at a stable, manageable level.
